Our volunteers are an integral part of the hospital: acting as hospital ambassadors to patients, employees and visitors; assisting patients and staff on a nursing unit; raising funds for equipment and services;
serving on an event planning committee; organizing children’s tours; helping with our Pet Therapy program; delivering flowers and so much more. They include high school and college students, adults and retirees and even former patients.
They play valuable and meaningful roles in the lives of our patients throughout our hospital.

Just tell us about yourself and we’ll tailor a rewarding volunteer experience to your interests, skills, and schedule. Hospice by the Sea Volunteers provide companionship
and respite for patients and families in homes and facilities throughout Palm Beach and Broward counties, in addition to helping in our inpatient units located in Boca Raton
and Hollywood. In addition, they offer clerical/office support, pet visitation, a helping hand to Jack’s Café or the Hospice by the Sea Chest Thrift Shop, Camp Good Grief and more.
Some even provide complementary therapies, including Reiki Healing Touch and Massage. Our volunteers are an important part of our team, and share in the rewards of providing exceptional, compassionate care and support.
There’s no limit to who can be a successful HBTS volunteer. We recently celebrated a volunteer’s 94th birthday!”
